THE COMPANY:
Pequén Producciones is a production company founded by Karin Cuyul and Joséphine Schroeder in 2016. Thanks to the experience of the associates in both national and international markets, Pequén Producciones aims to produce audiovisual content and strong authorial projects, observing and illustrating the world from Chile. “Story of my Name” by Karin Cuyul was Pequén Producciones first release, it had its world premiere at IFFR 2019 where it received the Bright Future special mention of the jury. In 2020 “Gaucho Americano” by Nicolás Molina will have its premiere. Pequén Producciones is currently in production and developing several projects of both fiction and documentary.
THE ASSOCIATES:
Karin Cuyul graduated in Cinema from the Arcis University in Chile. Since 2012. She has worked with several production companies before founding Pequén Producciones. In 2018 she finishes her first feature length documentary “Story of my Name” a co-production between Chile and Brazil.
Joséphine Schroeder was born in Paris, France. She started to work in the production field in 2007, after a degree in private law. After working for several production companies in Paris, she moved to Chile in 2013 where she first worked as an independent producer before founding Pequén Producciones.
